How it stays private

The calculator is pure client-side JavaScript. The equity math engine is deterministic TypeScript with zero dependencies — no AI, no server calls baked into the math itself. Your comp data stays in your browser's memory and its local storage; it's never sent anywhere to compute your verdict. Completing a comparison does send one anonymous signal (that a verdict was computed, plus its kind — no comp numbers) so we can tell the calculator's being used — see the privacy page for the full picture. If you activate the optional AI advisor, that choice is explicit and disclosed before sending anything.

Built for engineers with equity

The calculator handles RSUs, ISOs, NSOs, and share grants with arbitrary vesting schedules. It understands cliffs, monthly vesting, refreshers, sign-on grants with clawback, and underwater options. Startup equity gets a risk discount you control. Private-company equity is labeled as such, never silently blended with liquid value.

Use it before you have an offer

You don't need an offer to get value. Enter your current package and the calculator shows what leaving costs, when exit windows open, and what minimum offer total beats staying. Most people don't know these numbers until they're already negotiating — by then it's too late to time your exit or ask for the right make-whole.

Shareable scenarios — and share cards with banded values

The calculator generates share cards and shareable URLs, and they're not the same thing. The share card text shows banded ranges, never exact dollar amounts, so you can discuss the verdict without exposing your actual comp. The URL is different: it encodes everything you entered, exact numbers included, so share it only with someone you'd tell anyway. Full details on the privacy page.

What this is not

This is not a marketplace, not a matching service, not a social network. No profiles, no pitches, no employer matching. It's a calculator. If we build those features later, they'll be separate and opt-in — the calculator stays private and standalone.
