How to calculate walk-away cost without anyone knowing

Short answer: enter the package you have, and an offer if you have one. Worth Leaving tells you what leaving costs in unvested equity, and whether the offer clears that. Nobody knows you looked.

The math runs in this browser. Completing a comparison sends one anonymous counter. That's it for the calculator itself.

What it actually computes

Walk-away cost is the unvested value you forfeit by leaving before the shares vest. Your number is the offer total that still beats staying after that cost. If the dates matter, it shows the windows where walk-away cost is lowest.

It is a tool, not advice. Not tax advice or legal advice.

What a share link carries

Copying a link puts a banded summary in the URL. Ranges like $200k–$250k. Not your base, bonus, or grant-by-grant numbers. Older links from before 2026-08-25 may still hold exact figures. New ones do not.

Your numbers stay in this browser's local storage. Opening the link on another device will not reload them.

What this is not

Not a listings board. Using the calculator does not create a profile and does not enroll you in anything. Companies do not see that you looked. If you opt in later, that is a separate action. Accept is the only reveal. Decline never outs anyone.

FAQ

Does using it create a profile? No. Completing a comparison is not a marketplace opt-in.
